Employee Falls from Ladder, Fractures Heels

On October 29, 2008, Employee # 1 was instructed by his immediate supervisor to conduct roofing operations on top of the commercial building. Employee # 1 was climbing a steel ladder attached to the building and slipped from the sixteenth rung, falling approximately 16 ft to the concrete ground. Employee #1 fractured both heels of his feet and was hospitalized.
