Employee Is Injured When Struck by Scaffold

On June 10, 2005, an employee, a carpenter, was working in a 30-ft deep cement vault. The metal banding that secured a bundle of 4-ft by 6-ft form scaffold sections was cut, releasing stored energy thereby causing the scaffold sections to spring forward, striking the employee on the back, legs and head. The employee was hospitalized and treated for strains and sprains.
