Employee Is Killed in Fall from Building

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on June 8, 2006, Employee #1 was assisting coworkers move a sheetrock dolly with 14 pieces of sheetrock down the third floor breeze way. The rear hard rubber tires of the sheetrock dolly rolled onto the area where two pieces of the wooden Oriented Strand Board flooring were joined together. The weight of the cart being rolled along the seam caused the flooring to break. This allowed the rear wheels of the sheetrock dolly to penetrate through the flooring. The sheetrock shifted knocking Employee #1 through the guardrail causing him to fall 22 ft onto the concrete slab. Employee #1's neck was broken on impact and he was killed. .
