Employee Is Killed When His Vehicle Struck an Oak Tree

On September 14, 2005, Employee #1's vehicle was moving in a westerly direction and drove off the left side of the road. The vehicle struck an oak tree approximately 2 ft in diameter which was sheared off at ground level. The accident occurred on a county road 800 south in Westville, Indiana. The road straight and level. The vehicle continued west and struck a larger oak tree which knocked the box from the trailer bed. The vehicle cab was badly damaged in the collision with the trees causing fatal injuries to the driver who died at the scene.
