Investigation Summary
On August 10, 2005, Employee #1 and a coworker were removing tree branches that were blocking telephone lines. The coworker was located in an elevated bucket to cut tree branches, while Employee #1 was below. As the coworker cut a tree branch, Employee #1, who was newly hired, walked underneath the falling branch and was struck in the head. Emergency services were called and Employee #1 was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for contusions and abrasions.
