Employee Is Injured When Forklift Falls from Dock

On July 27, 2005, Employee #1 was preparing to unload a tractor trailer, using a forklift. As he drove the forklift across the dock plate to access the rear of the tractor trailer Employee #2 drove the parked tractor trailer forward, causing the forklift to fall 4 ft off the dock. Employee #1 sustained multiple contusions and muscle strains to his left hand and entire left arm and shoulder. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was not hospitalized.
