Investigation Summary
On August 18, 2008, several employees from the Fireworks Spectacular, Inc. were working in a storage magazine containing fireworks, labeled as Class B explosives, when an explosion occurred. Two employees died on the scene; three were taken to hospital; one that was transported died of sustained injuries; one was hospitalized with second and third degree burns, which required grafts; one was treated for second degree burns and released; and one was examined at the scene and did not require treatment.
