Event: 06/27/2007
Employee dies of asphyxia when pinned by ATV

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on June 27, 2007, Employee #1 was spraying weeds at a gravel pit near Havre, MT. He was using a Polaris Magnum 325 4x4 ATV when it apparently flipped forward and landed on top of him. A coworker arrived at the scene at approximately 3:00 p.m. He discovered Employee #1 pinned underneath the vehicle and called the emergency response team. Employee #1 died of asphyxia; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
