Employee Falls from Elevated Pallet

Employee #1, working for Total International Trading Co. Inc. in Elk Grove Village, IL, was standing on an elevated pallet set on the forks of a forklift after being elevated by a coworker to repair a damaged overhead door. Employee #1 fell 10 to 12 ft. He suffered a fractured wrist and extensive facial fractures and damage. Employee #1 was hospitalized and was determined to have high blood alcohol content.
