Employee is Killed in Fall from Manlift

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on July 10, 2004, Employee #1 was accessing the valet manlift on the fifth floor of the Silver Legacy parking garage. Employee #1 fell approximately 55 feet from the fifth level to the first level, landing on the manlift platform. The employee fell through four oval floor openings (one on each level) measuring 37 inches by 27 inches. The manlift was manufactured by Humphrey, serial number S-3577. Employee #1 was transported by ambulance to Washoe Medical Center, where he died.
