Employee is killed in fall through sky light

On September 28, 2004, an employee fell approximately 13 ft 10 in. while removing roof panels on a steel building. The employee, who was not wearing fall protection, fell through a corrugated skylight roof panel, which was not guarded or barricaded. The building, which was an old vacant Firestone tire store, was being demolished in order to build a new O'Reilly auto parts store. The employee was killed.
