Employee Is Crushed and Killed When Vehicle Collapses

On June 9, 2005, an employee was helping the owner of the firm remove the motor and transmission from a vehicle. The owner had lifted the front of the vehicle with a tractor equipped with forks and had placed two pipes under the front end of the vehicle to help support the vehicle. The vehicle started to roll backwards, it came off the pipes that was supporting it, and came down on the employee. The vehicle came down and pinned the employee underneath. The employee was killed.
