Employee is killed when crushed between granite slabs

Employee #1 and a coworker were positioning a large slab of granite so it could be removed from a metal shipping box with a fork-lift. The metal shipping box was on a bed of a semi-truck. The wood frame braces that held the slabs together had been cut, leaving the slabs with no support. The granite slabs fell over and pinned Employee #1 against another frame of slabs that were leaning on the opposite side of the box. Employee #1 died from asphyxia.
