ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH ENERGIZED PARTS

AN EMPLOYEE WAS INSTALLING AN ELECTRIC MOTOR FOR AN IRRIGATION PUMP. THE EMPLOYEE WAS ELECTROCUTED WHEN A 480-VOLT CONDUCTOR THOUGHT TO BE DEENERGIZED CONTACTED A PRESSURE SWITCH LOCATED ON THE PUMP HOUSING.
