Investigation Summary
At approximately 7:30 a.m. on October 29, 2006, an employee was working for Cardenas Markets Inc., (Store Number 13) in San Jacinto, California. She was cleaning the inside of an Ecuamex Corn Tortilla Machine and was caught in the in-running nip point of the machine's rollers. She suffered partial amputations to the index and middle fingers of her right hand. Paramedics took the injured employee to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley, California, for emergency medical care. She was not hospitalized.
