Employee's Finger Amputated When Caught in Machine

At approximately 7:40 a.m. on July 7, 2005, Employee #1, a machine operator, was holding a limit switch that became loose on a Besser Block unloaded stacker machine. The machine cycled and caught his left index finger between the machine's channel bar and cross member. The tip of his finger was crushed and amputated and he was hospitalized.
