Event: 05/13/2004
Employee Punctures Arm with Nail Gun

At approximately 2:20 p.m. on May 13, 2004, Employee #1 was using a MAX CN890S Pneumatic Coil Nailer, Number 6122 to fasten trim to the end of a modular structure under construction when he slipped upon scrap material on the floor. As he lost his balance, the nailer's contact tip touched the metal chassis and shot off an 8D-size nail. The nail ricocheted off the chassis, puncturing his left arm just above his wrist. Coworkers provided first aid and drove Employee #1 to a hospital for emergency medical attention. At the hospital, he underwent surgical procedures and then postoperative treatment and care.
