Employee Is Killed in Fall from Elevated Work Platform

At approximately 2:50 p.m. on July 21, 2005, Employee #1 and a coworker were performing exterior sheathing and trim work on a three-story apartment building. They were working from a trash receptacle that was attached to the forks of a Lull forklift. When the receptacle fell from the forks approximately 30 ft to the ground, both employees were pinned between the receptacle and the ground. Employee #1 was killed and the coworker was treated at a hospital and released.
