Employee Dies from Heart Attack Suffered at Work

On January 21, 2004, Employee #1, an employee of Buffelen Woodworking Company, collapsed upon return to his work station after his break. CPR was attempted and Employee #1 was transported to the emergency room where he was pronounced dead at 2:37 p.m. on January 21, 2004. He had been under physician care for hypertension, hyperlipidemia and GERD. The cause of death was determined by the attending physician as natural, not work-related.
