Employee Falls from Catwalk and Sustains Multiple Fractures

At approximately 11:30 on August 20, 2008, Employee #1 was standing and displaying patio furniture on the top shelf of storage rack that was 86-in. high by 74-in.wide. The top shelf was not able to sustain the load imposed upon it. The shelving broke and Employee #1 fell. Employee #1 suffered fractures to his back and ankles. Employee #1 was hospitalized for approximately seven hours for medical treatment.
