Employees suffer fractures due to tire inflation explosion

Around 8:15 AM, on July 15, 2008, Employee #1 and Employee #2 of, Laid Out Kustomz, suffered fractures to left forearm and right wrist respectively when a car tire exploded inside an auto shop during inflation. Employee #1 was inflating a used car tire on a tire inflating machine, model 7065 AX, bead came out of rim during inflation and tire exploded and hit him on his left forearm. Employee #2 who was in vicinity at that time also got injured. Employee #1 also stated that he did not over inflate the tire and air pressure was 40 psi approximately during seating of beads on rim and inflation. Employees were transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital by paramedics and hospitalized in there in excess of 24 hours for medical treatment.
