Employee Is Asphyxiated When Stuck in Tree

On November 2, 2007, Employee #1 was trimming palm tree leaves, approximately 40 ft up. Employee #1 was using climbing boots, a body belt and a lanyard. The palm leaves fell on Employee #1, suffocating him. Employee #1 did not fall from the tree and was revived by paramedics. However, on November 16, 2007, an inspector went to Employee #1's residence and a family member stated that Employee #1 died two days after the accident.
