Investigation Summary
At 8:30 a.m. on August 6, 2007, a worker, a machine operator having worked for the company for about 7 yrs, was working on a paint coater machine where wood products were being painted by passing them through rollers. The worker noticed that there was a piece of tape flapping with the shaft of the rollers, and grabbed the piece of tape with his right hand. In the process, his right hand was caught in the moving parts, causing lacerations of his palm. He was taken to a hospital and was released the following day for treatment.
