Employee Is Injured When Jumping Into a Trash Bin

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on September 2, 2006, Employee #1 and his employer were having a conflict. Employee #1 claimed he fall from an elevated work platform. His employer believes Employee #1 hurt himself after work hours while rummaging through his employer's trash bin. Based on surveillance videos, Employee #1 was not injured during work hours. Furthermore, the videos conflict with statements during Employee #1's interview such as time of injury, and the use of an elevating work platform to cause the injury. The employer provided written statements from two of Employee #1's coworkers stating that Employee #1 was not injured during work hours and he jumped into the trash bin. Employee #1 was hospitalized and treated for a fractured left foot.
