Employee Is Injured in Fall from Ladder

At about 2:15 p.m. on November 6, 2006, Employee #1, a laborer helper with 2 months of experience, was on a platform station attached to a Symer Cone crusher machine. He had just checked concrete material for steel or other foreign objects. While descending the fixed ladder from the platform, he slipped and fell to the ground. Employee #1 was hospitalized at County USC Medical Center for facial trauma and lacerations to his right eye.
