Investigation Summary

Investigation Nr: 202451738
Event: 09/13/2005
Employee Suffers Multiple Fractures Falling from Scaffold

On September 13, 2005, a construction worker was renovating the exterior of a two story, single-family house. He was standing on a scaffold and removed a scaffold plank close to the building to obtain better access to the work. A coworker who was interviewed during the accident investigation stated that he told the worker to replace the plank, but his request went unheeded. The worker fell between the scaffold and the exterior wall of the residence, approximately 15 ft to the driveway. He was hospitalized with multiple fractures.
