Highway Worker Is Struck by Vehicle and Killed

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 6, 2006, Employee #1, with Penhall Company, was sealing expansion joints in the second lane of an interstate highway at night. The fourth lane had been marked with cones for traffic, and the third lane was being used as a work zone safety buffer. A vehicle entered the third lane and struck Employee #1, killing him.
