On March 31, 2005, Employee #1 was working as a truck driver for a company that delivered concrete materials to job sites. He was a regular employee, not a contract employee, performing his normal job duties. At his employer's work site, he was climbing from the cab of his truck, a 1996 Series 379 Peterbilt, onto a 10 cubic yard box-type dump trailer attached to the truck.
