Employee Fractures Arm in a Forklift Accident

On February 26, 2005, an employee was working in the cargo reposition area at the airport. She was operating a forklift, a propane powered caterpillar forklift, Model GCB, Serial Number 2EM-0044, when she inadvertently ran into a cargo transport cart that was parked. The employee was repositioning cargo from the cart into a storage area, when this accident occurred. The employee's left arm was caught between the cargo cart and the forklift, resulting in fractures to her left arm. The employee was hospitalized and treated for fractured ulna and radius bones in her left arm.
