Employee is injured when hand get caught between auger

On June 24, 2004, Employee #1 was cleaning the seed blender after mixing grass seeds. Employee #1 reached into the right auger screw to remove the seeds. Employee #1 jogged the machine and caught his left hand between the auger and slide guard that was in the up position. Employee #1 sustained lacerations to his left hand. Employee #1 received first aid from management, and was transported by the ambulance to the hospital. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
