Employee is injured from fall

On September 8, 2003, Employee #1, a roofer, and three coworkers were installing insulation and sheets of metal on the roof of a building under construction. The roof was approximately 14 feet from the ground. Employee #1 bent over to install a piece of panelastic, a sealant tape, on a section of the metal roof that another employee had put in. Upon completion, he stood up and took a step backwards off of the previously installed metal sheeting and fell 14 feet to the ground. Employee #1 was admitted to the hospital and treated for lacerations to his head. He was released the same day.
