Employee dies after his car was run over by tank truck

On November 13, 2003, an employee and a coworker were leaving the job site for the day. The coworker was driving his personal vehicle and the employee was riding in the passenger seat. The vehicle was traveling on a dirt and gravel service road located on the job site. The vehicle was moving along behind a water tank truck used to wet down the road to control dust. The tank truck stopped and started to backup to turn around. As the truck backed up, the coworker, the driver of the personal vehicle, could not move his vehicle out of the way and jumped out of the stopped car. The employee in the passenger seat was unable to get out and the tank truck backed over the vehicle crushing and killing the employee inside.
