Employee is killed in fall from 70-ft deck

On June 30, 2004, Employee #1, a maintenance worker, was working as a rigger on the USS Constitution. While working from the main fighting deck, Employee #1 fell through the lubbers' hole, 70 ft to the main deck. He was killed. Employee #1 was wearing a full body harness, but was not tied off to an anchoring point.
