Employee Is Killed When Struck by Power Pole

On June 1, 2003, an employee was disconnecting service from a customer's damaged pole. The employee was standing on a ladder leaned against a trailer adjacent to the pole. The pole gave way and broke at the ground, knocking the employee off the ladder and the pole fell on him. The employee was killed.
