Employee Is Killed When Struck by Airplane Noise

On September 12, 2003, an employee was operating diesel aircraft ground tractor to push back a loaded aircraft from the passenger gate. The bar connecting the tractor to the aircraft did not align with the securing pin holes on the tractor. The employee did not stop the tractor in time, and struck her head on the aircraft nose. The employee's upper body was trapped between the tractor and the aircraft as the tractor continued to move under the aircraft. The employee was declared dead at the scene.
