Employee fell from work platform and injured

On April 18, 2003, Employee #1 and a coworker were working on the work platform. The bracket for an offset work platform was not properly seated to the main scaffold frame. Employee #1 and the coworker fell when the bracket became disengaged and the platform collapsed. The coworker grabbed a cross brace to keep from hitting the ground. Employee #1 fell 13 ft to compacted ground. He was transported to the hospital for observation and treatment of bruised ribs and minor lacerations. He was released the same day.
