Worker Is Killed by Falling Wall Being Demolished

On May 19, 2005, Employee #1 was working for MKP Enterprises, which had been contracted to perform interior demolition of the Swenson Gymnasium at Weber State University prior to a renovation project. He was working in a shower area on the lower level, demolishing a wall in the shower. The seven-foot wall fell on him. Coworkers in the area lifted the wall off him and called emergency medical services. He was transferred to the local hospital, where he died.
