Employee killed when crushed under trenching machine

On June 27, 2003, Employee #1, of McConathy Construction Company, Inc., was digging a shallow trench to install conduit for electric lines to power a traffic light. The trenching machine rolled over an embankment, crushing him. Employee #1 was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
