Employee injured in fall from metal roof

On April 3, 2003, Employee #1, a painter with M.C. Contracting, Incorporated, was painting the eaves of a roof from a ladder. Employee #1 needed another paint brush, so he climbed the ladder to get on the roof. After walking approximately 10 ft on the metal roof, which was coated with aluminum paint, Employee #1 slipped on the wet paint and slid off the roof, falling 20 ft to the asphalt. Employee #1 fractured his right arm, jaw, and broke two front teeth. No fall protection methods were being employed at the time of the accident.
