Painter Falls from Ladder and Suffers Back Injury

On October 7, 2006, an employee of a painting contractor was on a ladder painting the fascia board of a single story residence. When he over-extended his reach, he fell to the ground. The top of the fascia board was 8.5 ft above the ground. The employee landed in a flowerbed. He was transported to UMC Hospital in Fresno, where he was admitted and treated for a compression fracture in his back. He was hospitalized for three days.
