Employee's Hand Is Burned When Caught Between Rollers

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on September 30, 2005, an employee of Esparza Enterprises Inc. was cleaning the powered conveyor by himself, when he reached between the conveyors belts towards the end roller to remove a carrot. His left hand became caught between the top of the roller and the moving conveyor belt, causing a deep friction burn. The employee was taken to Sherman Oaks Hospital, where he was hospitalized and treated for burns.
