Employee Sustains Fractures after Falling from Ladder

Employee #1 was tasked with getting motor numbers from the pumps in a chiller water storage pit. While entering or exiting the pit, Employee #1 fell off a step ladder that was being used as a straight ladder to enter and exit the pit. Employee #1 fell approximately 8 ft 11 in. to the concrete floor of the pit. Employee #1 sustained multiple fractures and was hospitalized.
