Employee Died of Bilateral Pulmonary Embolism

Employee #1 was at work on March 3, 2003, in an office environment. Employee #1 had complained of leg pain and breathing difficulty. At approximately 3:00 p.m. a coworker found Employee #1 unresponsive in a women's restroom. Employee #1 was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Employee #1 was diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolism. The hospital Pathologist stated that Employee #1 died of natural causes unrelated to work.
