Employee dies after falling

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on October 12, 2002, Employee #1 was sanding drywall and cleaning debris from inside the second floor of a two-story, multi-family dwelling. He stepped out on the balcony and leaned on the rail to speak with someone on the ground level. The guard railing broke away from the wall and Employee #1 fell 9.3 feet to the ground. Employee #1 died two days later from his injuries.
