Employee fell from unguarded second story floor

On June 17, 2002, an employee was painting the inside of a house. He was working from an unguarded second-story landing that was approximately 9 ft 11 in about the first floor. While spray painting, the employee backed off of the landing and fell onto the stairway. He sustained a compound fracture of the right lower leg. He was treated and released at the hospital.
