Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was operating a log picker from a log truck. He was loading cut logs onto the truck and "PUP". The owner of the company was operating a picker and loading trees into a slasher (saw). The slasher was parallel with the log truck but separated by a pile of cut logs. He picked up a tree and swung it 90 degrees. When he stopped to swing the tree, the top portion of the tree broke off, continuing in an arc and struck Employee #1, killing him instantly.
