Employee Is Killed When Struck by Overloaded Dump Truck

At approximately 2:45 p.m. on October 6, 2005, Employee #1, a Warren County highway employee, was working on a paving crew on New Vermont Rd. A grossly overloaded dump truck was approaching the work zone when it lost its brakes on the steep downhill grade. Employee #1 tried, but could not get out of the path of the out of control dump truck. Employee #1 was struck and killed.
