Employee Killed When Struck by Vehicle

At approximately 10:00 a.m., Employee #1, a newspaper salesperson, was outdoors selling papers. He was wearing a bright, neon-green shirt bearing the newspaper's logo. An elderly motorist apparently suffered a heart attack and ran into the vehicles in front of him. A seven car collision occurred and Employee #1 was struck by one of the motor vehicles involved in the accident. He died in the collision. At the time of the accident, the weather was good and visibility was clear.
