Investigation Summary

At 9:00 p.m. on April 10, 2005, Employee #1, with Wienerschnitzel #150, was assisting in the orientation of a new coworker. The two employees began arguing, and the fight became physical. They ignored a manager's attempt to break it up. The coworker then pulled a knife and the fight continued in an outdoor serving area, where the coworker stabbed Employee #1 in the stomach and arms, and threatened to stab him in the neck. A customer helped split them up and summoned emergency services. Employee #1 ran inside the building and locked himself inside. The coworker then fled but was later apprehended by the police. Employee #1 was hospitalized at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center for treatment of his wounds.
