Employee's leg is injured when run over by forklift

On October 8, 2003, Employee #1, a forklift operator, dismounted to speak to another operator. While stepping away from the other forklift, Employee #1 slipped on gravel and his legs went under the other forklift. The other operator did not notice Employee #1 and pulled forward, running over Employee #1's lower right leg. The other operator stopped after hearing Employee #1, who was then pulled from under the forklift, treated on site, and then taken to Washington County Hospital. He was subsequently airlifted to Baltimore Shock Trauma for treatment of crushing injuries to the leg, and a broken tibia.
